FOR THE ESTABROOK DAM ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT, OPERATION PROTOCOL & FISH PASSAGE PROPOSALS

Detailed information: Milwaukee County has decided to repair, operate, and maintain Estabrook Dam and construct a new fish passage. The hearing will begin with a brief overview of the environmental impact statement process and operating procedure alternatives for the dam. Department staff will be on hand to receive written or oral comments from any interested individuals at the hearing. People may submit comments through April 6, 2016, and should be mailed to Kristina Betzold, Department of Natural Resources, 2300 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., Milwaukee, 53212, or sent by email to: DNREstabrook@wi.gov. Let’s make sure shovels are in the ground by June to repair and they do it right!

We need help dropping off flyers door-to-door, especially on nearby streets that don’t have river frontage and in areas surrounding Lincoln Park.
